Breakfast at the Base
In preparation of a long day on the mountain, the gang needed a good breakfast.
After we finished our morning errands at the grocery store, we stopped by a little bakery at the base of the mountain that Jac promised wouldn't disappoint. Sure, we now had a solid supply of eggs, bacon, and pancake mix. But what better food to sustain you for four hours of trekking up and soaring down a mountain than donuts?
The selection was pretty impressive. Still, Sam couldn't help but order a bagel. Sam likes bagels.
We got a big box of the classic donut assortment for the group. I opted for the cruller, which reminded me of the delicious donuts sold at the Chinese Bakery near my high school back home. Think of it as a churro-donut hybrid. And as if that isn't enough to get you hooked, they're only 65 cents!
My darling snow bunnies! |
Bellies filled with a healthy, wholesome breakfast (ha), we headed back up the mountain for a day on the slopes.
